Lest We Forget
Sep 10, 2016

Brothers and Sisters,

Tomorrow marks the 15th anniversary of the 9/11 terrorist attacks. Everyone of us can recall with stark detail where we where on that day. Some were in school, others at home, some in the Uniformed Services, others were on the job at the Rock.

No matter where we were or what we were doing, the events of that day have forever shaped not only our daily world but the vary nature of the calling that brought us to this job. We do what we do the way we do it because of the tragedy of September 11th.

As we take a moment to remember those who payed the ultimate price that day, I and the rest of the board would like to pay tribute to each and every one of you who have picked up the sword and shield in their place. Whether it is standing a post, a special team or a cruiser your efforts and dedication have contributed not only to the security of the of the most iconic building in the world but you honor those who walked the line before you.

We as your board are proud beyond words to be chosen to represent such a dedicated and professional group of law enforcement professionals.

As the sun shines tomorrow, take a moment to be with your loved ones and eachother and remember why we do what we do. May we all also take a moment to remember the victims of this tragedy and the heroes who answered the call that day.

Stay safe and continue the fight.
